Rock Climbing with a pro, wherever you are
Climbing is a full-body puzzle that builds strength, flexibility and focus. A coach improves your footwork and body positioning, and teaches rope skills like belaying, lead climbing and safe outdoor practice, so you climb harder and safer.
Who it’s for
Beginners, regular boulderers stuck on a grade, climbers moving from indoors to outdoors, and children (booked by a parent or guardian).
What a session looks like
A warm-up and movement drills, technique work on problems or routes at your level, and rope-skills instruction or outdoor safety where relevant.
Where you can train
Indoor bouldering and climbing walls, or outdoor crags with a suitably qualified coach. Wall entry or kit hire may be extra.
What to bring
Comfortable, stretchy clothes, climbing shoes and chalk (both can usually be hired), and water.
Rock Climbing FAQs
Bouldering or rope climbing first?
Both are great first steps. Bouldering needs no ropes, while rope climbing teaches belaying and height. Your coach can help you choose.
Can you take me climbing outdoors?
Yes, with coaches qualified for outdoor climbing. They’ll handle safety and choose crags suited to your level.
Are Trainow rock climbing coaches verified?
Yes. Before a coach goes live, Trainow reviews their identity, qualifications and insurance, plus safeguarding and DBS checks for anyone coaching children. Every session is rated by real people, so you can see how a coach performs before you book.
