Weightlifting with a pro, wherever you are
Olympic weightlifting is a highly technical sport, and the fastest progress comes from expert eyes on every rep. A coach breaks the snatch and the clean & jerk into positions and drills, then builds speed, timing and confidence under the bar.
Who it’s for
Beginners curious about the Olympic lifts, CrossFit athletes refining technique, and lifters preparing for their first weightlifting competition.
What a session looks like
Sessions focus on mobility for the catch positions, technique drills with a light bar, building to working sets, then pulls, squats or strength work. Video review helps lock in changes.
Where you can train
A gym or home gym with a platform, bumper plates and a weightlifting bar. Your coach meets you there.
What to bring
Weightlifting shoes if you have them (flat trainers are fine to start), a belt and wrist wraps if you use them, plus water.
Weightlifting FAQs
What’s the difference between weightlifting and powerlifting?
Weightlifting is the Olympic sport of the snatch and the clean & jerk, which are fast and technical. Powerlifting tests the squat, bench press and deadlift.
Do I need to be strong to start?
No. You learn the movements with a light technique bar first and add weight as your positions improve.
Are Trainow weightlifting coaches verified?
Yes. Before a coach goes live, Trainow reviews their identity, qualifications and insurance, plus safeguarding and DBS checks for anyone coaching children. Every session is rated by real people, so you can see how a coach performs before you book.
